Residential Well Drilling
for Treasure Coast Homes

A home well gives you control over your water supply. No monthly water bills, no dependence on municipal treatment, and often better-tasting water once it is properly filtered.

Well water - No monthly bills, independence from municipal supply
Licensed Water Well Contractor

Residential Well Drilling

A home well gives you control over your water supply. No monthly water bills, no dependence on municipal treatment, and often better-tasting water once it is properly filtered. Brent Pump Works drills residential drinking water wells for homeowners across Martin, St. Lucie, and Palm Beach counties.

We handle the full process: site evaluation, permitting through the South Florida Water Management District, drilling, pump installation, and water testing. When we finish, you have a working well with clean water, a pump system sized for your household, and a clear understanding of your water quality.

Why a Home Well

Benefits of a Home Well

No Monthly Water Bills

Once the well is drilled and the pump is installed, the water is yours. You pay for the electricity to run the pump and the occasional maintenance, but there is no monthly utility charge for the water itself.

Independence from Municipal Supply

You are not affected by water main breaks, boil-water notices, or rate increases from the utility. Your water comes from the aquifer beneath your property.

Better Water Quality with Proper Filtration

Municipal water is treated with chlorine and other chemicals. Well water is naturally sourced. With the right filtration system, many homeowners find their well water tastes better and is softer on skin and hair than treated city water.

How It Works

The Residential Drilling Process

01

Site Evaluation

We start with a site visit to evaluate your property, determine the best location for the well, and discuss your water needs.

02

Permitting

We apply for the well construction permit through SFWMD. Every well in Florida requires a permit before drilling can begin.

03

Drilling, Installation & Testing

Once the permit is issued, we drill the well, install the casing and screen, develop the well, install and size the pump system, and test the water. Most residential wells are completed in one to three days of on-site work.

Know Your Water

Water Quality and Testing

We provide a free water test with every residential well we drill. The test tells you what is in your water so you can make an informed decision about filtration. Treasure Coast well water commonly contains iron, sulfur, and hardness minerals. All of these are treatable with the right system.

Well water in Florida is the homeowner's responsibility to test and treat. We help you understand the results and recommend filtration if it is needed. We also install the filtration systems, so you get the complete solution from one company.

Water Filtration Services

Well Water vs. City Water

City water comes treated and ready to use, but you pay for it every month and you have no control over what the utility adds or how they treat it. Well water is free after the initial investment, but you are responsible for the quality. For many Treasure Coast homeowners, the combination of a well and a filtration system costs less over time than years of municipal water bills, and the water quality is better.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is well water safe to drink?

Well water needs to be tested before drinking. The surficial aquifer on the Treasure Coast can contain iron, sulfur, and hardness minerals that affect taste and staining but are not necessarily unsafe. A water test tells you exactly what is in your water. We provide free testing with every residential well.

How does the cost of a well compare to city water over time?

The upfront cost of drilling a well and installing a pump is higher than connecting to city water. But once the well is in, there are no monthly water bills. Most homeowners recoup the investment within a few years depending on their water usage and local utility rates.

How deep is a residential well on the Treasure Coast?

Depth depends on your location and the aquifer conditions on your property. The surficial aquifer, which is the primary freshwater source for residential wells in Martin, St. Lucie, and Palm Beach counties, varies in depth by location. We determine the right depth during the site evaluation.
